Some time ago, and perhaps even now, among all kinds of construction sets, unusual and interesting sets of plastic molds with built-in magnets were noticed; they are popularly called Magformers. Detailed information about the designers can be found on the website

Sets of such construction sets consist primarily of various geometric shapes (triangles, squares, trapezoids, tetrahedrons, and even more intricate shapes), into which small but extremely effective neodymium magnets are built. Various auxiliary elements are also usually included - platforms, wheels, racks, etc.

The manufacturer's website contains information that all elements are made of HQABS plastic (high-quality ABS plastic) and do not contain any hazardous substances. And thanks to ultrasonic welding, neodymium magnets are absolutely safe for children.

Fortunately, the Chinese brothers very quickly got their bearings and released their construction sets for sale, which are no different in appearance and functionality from the notorious Magformers. Here is one of such sets- I was lucky enough to appreciate it.

The construction set was delivered quickly, but not very carefully - the box was pretty dented (Pony Express excelled).

The box is very decent - colorful printing and thematic slogans on it create the impression of a high-quality and thoughtful product. It would have looked even better intact; it’s a pity that it’s just cardboard and not vandal-proof titanium.

On one of the sides there is a picture with all types of figures that can be found in the constructor. Next is a stylized head with an “illumination” light bulb, and under it an explanatory inscription - “Imagination”. Well, below you can read the inscription “Happy Time” and a call to improve intellectual and creative activity with the help of this designer.

On the front side there are several examples of what can be assembled from the construction set, three pictograms, each with an accompanying inscription - “Imagination”, “Creation” and “Hand Coordination”, as well as the name of the construction set and the slogan - “Magnetic blocks, destroy the routine! " Moreover, the verb Break (to destroy) starts with a letter, very similar to E - I think this is the designers’ idea, and not banal illiteracy, since the rest of the text is without errors.

The back side is not replete with design elements - only icons like recycling and all that, again a slogan with the wrong bi, and the inscription “made in China”

The last two sides of the box feature a flying machine and a train (built from the kit, of course) and a series of octahedrons containing the following:

The number of items is quite impressive, so I had to allocate a plastic box to store them.

First of all, I looked at the parts with magnets - the quality of the plastic is very good. high level, there are no flashes, no roughness, the joints are almost invisible, in appearance the parts of the part are more likely glued together with something like dichloroethane, and not welded with ultrasound like their American prototypes, although I have not seen the quality of ultrasonic welding before and I cannot judge this. I couldn’t separate them; the part started to break, and the glue wouldn’t budge.
