Reviews

One of the most favorite drugs for headaches. There are other pills that I take from time to time, but Trigan D always helps. This is the only drug of which I am one hundred percent sure of its action.

I didn’t take anything better for the headache. Trigan-D helps with a bang! For me personally, the price-quality ratio is very good. I am always sure that one tablet will last me a long time and I will calmly survive the next headache attack.

Pain relief different types pain. I personally find it very helpful for intestinal cramps and stomach pain. I've taken it several times and it's always equally effective.

Yesterday I took Trigan-D for a migraine headache, without much hope of success, I tell you. But in the end, after 30 minutes my head didn’t hurt at all, and it doesn’t hurt now. I have never experienced such a quick and long-lasting effect from any drug that I took before.

Abdominal pain happens quite regularly, because I love to eat, and let the champions throw slippers at me healthy image life, but I often overeat. Let me tell you that I take Trigan tablets regularly, but if my stomach is quite upset, then I take it, and it helps me.

I prefer Trigan-D to all other painkillers for several reasons. Firstly, I am always sure that the pill will not be taken in vain, but it will relieve painful sensations. And, secondly, I have no side effects from this drug, no dry mouth, or any other surprises.

Trigan-D was prescribed to me by my family doctor because... Often there are pains in the intestines due to colitis and I couldn’t stop them with the usual no-shpa, but Trigan helps excellently. In principle, as well as as a universal pain reliever.

I have known Trigan-D for quite some time. I always knew that it would help relieve many types of pain. But I didn’t even imagine that it was also quite effective as a drug for relieving fever. I encountered this for the first time recently when I was being treated for the flu, and I was pleasantly surprised.

In our family, Trigan is one of the drugs that we always have on hand. It so happened that at one time his parents began to accept him from time to time. And then, when I grew up and got married, I brought the old and familiar painkiller into our family. It suited my husband too. Therefore, I definitely give the drug a thumbs up.

I have encountered Trigan-D more than once in my life. I took it for headaches and for dysmenorrhea. I like. that it relieves spasms very well. And not just pain relief. During critical days, it is this combination of analgesic effect and spasm relieving effect. especially valuable.

I always have Trigan-D in my purse. I wear it in case I suddenly get a headache or other pain. The drug removes any of them very well and quickly. Moreover, the effect after taking it lasts for at least a day.

Previously, I took Trigan D, drank it for headaches, then switched to other medications. But I still remember Trigan D as a good and effective remedy

They are cheaper than the drugs I took before. And they work just as well. I often save myself from cramps. Sometimes I also drink for muscle pain.

We have Trigan D in our first aid kit. It is an effective pain reliever and also relieves muscle spasms well.

Trigan D is a very strong and good painkiller and antispasmodic. I take them mainly for headaches and during the menstrual cycle. In general, my dating story is no different from many; one day I came to the pharmacy and asked for painkillers. There was a choice, but among those that I had once accepted, but they no longer acted or acted weakly. Therefore, something new was needed. The tablets are inexpensive; in our pharmacy you can buy a blister with 10 tablets for 60 rubles, and a package with 100 tablets for 300 rubles. You need to use no more than 4, as stated in the instructions. Contraindicated for pregnant women, and also not for children under 15 years of age. Available without a prescription. The composition contains dicycloverine hydrochloride and paracetamol, and it is thanks to them that the analgesic and antispasmodic effect is achieved, so to speak. Can be used for headaches, muscle pain, infectious diseases, intestinal and liver colic, spasms. As for side effects, dry mouth is noted. I don’t know, I had nausea and a feeling of drowsiness a couple of times, I didn’t notice any allergies. My verdict: I understand that these products have many analogues, but I still recommend these tablets to friends and acquaintances.

Due to my stressful work, I have been getting frequent headaches lately due to stress. At first I sat in pain and endured it, but a friend from work gave me tringade for a headache, I drank it and after 15-20 minutes I no longer had a headache. On the same day I went to the pharmacy and bought myself a pack of 10 pieces, now I will know what helps with headaches.

Other ingredients: MCC, corn starch, povidone, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide.

Medicinal properties

The features of the therapeutic effect of Trigana-D are explained by the properties of its main components:

  • Paracetamol belongs to the group of non-narcotic analgesics. The substance is famous for its powerful analgesic and antipyretic effects. In addition, it has some anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic effects. The mechanism of its action is determined by the ability of the substance to suppress cyclooxygenase enzymes only in the central nervous system. As a result, the production of prostaglandins, substances responsible for pain, inflammation and controlling the mechanism of thermoregulation in the body, stops.
  • Dicycloverine (in hydrochloride form) is a tertiary amine. It has the ability to suppress M-cholinergic receptors, which are responsible for transmitting pain impulses. In addition, the substance has an antispasmodic effect: it relaxes the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, biliary tract, vascular and urogenital systems.

The substances contained in Trigana-D effectively relieve spasms of internal organs and pain.

After oral administration, the medicine is quickly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, peak concentrations are reached after 1-1.5 hours. Paracetamol is converted in the liver. One of its metabolites may have a negative effect on the liver and kidneys. The drug is excreted from the body mainly in urine (about 80%), a small amount is excreted in feces.

Trigan D is a drug

In the literal sense, the drug is not a narcotic drug. However, with an overdose of Trigan D, not only hallucinations occur, but also a feeling of pleasure and euphoria. In addition, it acts like a real drug: it is addictive, and after prolonged use it causes destruction of the body, organ failure and, as a result, leads to death.

Cross-drug interactions

When treating with Trigan D, it is necessary to take into account the possible occurrence of adverse reactions:

  • The effect of paracetamol is enhanced by the action of barbiturates, phenytoin, alcohol, Rifampicin and some other drugs. As a result, a severe form of Trigan-D overdose may occur.
  • When combined with adrenergic stimulants, the risk of side effects increases.
  • Taking an antispasmodic drug together with indirect anticoagulants reduces their effect.
  • Dicycloverine contained in the drug enhances the properties of medications that affect the central nervous system, and also increases the content of dioxin in the blood.

The drug is produced in tablets and powder for preparing a hot drink.

  • It helps a lot.

Flaws:

  • Side effects.

Trigan D is an analgesic drug with an antispasmodic effect. And this is not a drug, despite the pronounced analgesic effect and side effects reminiscent of the influence narcotic substances. So, Trigan D, what are these pills, how to take them and when is it better to refrain from treatment with this medicine?

Trigan D is a two-component tablet. The drug contains 2 equal, active compounds, which include: paracetamol, known to all of us, and dicycloverine hydrochloride, which is little known to us.

The principle of therapeutic effect

The first component will tell you why Trigan D can be used by almost anyone, even without medical education. If you remember, paracetamol affects cyclooxygenase (mainly COX-1, less COX-2), suppressing its activity. Cyclooxygenase stimulates the production of prostaglandins, which are modulators of the inflammatory process, pain and regulation of body temperature.

This means that Trigan D is described in the instructions as a means:

  • anti-inflammatory (eliminates swelling, pain, helps restore affected functions);
  • analgesic (pain reliever);
  • antipyretic (lowers body temperature).

But this drug is not so simple, what are Trigan D tablets, you ask? This substance has three additional qualities:

  1. Pronounced myotropic effect (relaxes striated muscles, that is, muscles).
  2. A strong antispasmodic effect (relaxes the walls of blood vessels and hollow organs, in a word, those systems that consist of smooth muscles).
  3. Weak m-anticholinergic properties (m-anticholinergic blockers are atropine-like compounds). This means that Trigan D tablets affect the nervous system.

Trigan D tablets owe these qualities to the second component, dicycloverine hydrochloride.

Release form Trigan D

According to the instructions, Trigan D is round and flat tablets. They are smooth and white, slightly beveled at the edges. There is a little pattern on one side of the tablet that helps you divide the drug into 2 equal parts, if necessary. The tablets are packaged in rectangular cardboard boxes with 1, less often 2 blisters/strips per box. Each blister/strip contains 10 tablets.

Trigan D tablets for what are usually recommended by doctors? As you understand from the action described, this is a muscle spasm and the pain syndrome caused by it. Moreover, the combination is conceived for the sake of synergy. Paracetamol increases the effectiveness of dicycloverine. And not at all for the reason why boys and girls from disadvantaged families take it.

Contraindications and side effects

Interested parents will ask Trigan D why teenagers drink, and they will do the right thing. Because teenagers use the drug as a substitute for drugs. In case of an overdose, the drug causes hallucinations, immersing the child in “another dimension” where he is looking for or catching something. Unfortunately, when used this way, the medication is highly addictive. This is one of the side effects of the drug.

For Trigan D, the instructions for use define several negative effects. On medicine(MS) many body systems react negatively:

  1. Urogenital area: decreased potency, urinary retention and discharge of pus along with urine (pyuria), nephritis and destruction of the renal papilla (necrotizing papillitis).
  2. Eyes: increased pressure in the eyeball, impaired vision clarity, accommodation, pupil dilation.
  3. Gastrointestinal tract: impaired taste perception, decreased appetite and dry mouth, pain in the epigastric region, indigestion and constipation, hepatonecrosis (destruction of liver tissue).
  4. Hematopoietic organs: anemia, including with hemolysis of red blood cells, methemoglobinemia.
  5. Central nervous system: a disorder develops with an overdose and is characterized by drowsiness or agitation, dizziness and loss of orientation.
  6. Endocrine system: decreased blood sugar levels until the development of a coma.

Allergic reactions of varying severity are possible.

It is quite possible to overdose from taking Trigan D. In this case, Trigan D, the effects described above occur faster and more acutely, heart pain, convulsions, shortness of breath, and cyanotic (cyanotic) skin are possible.

To avoid the negative effects of the drug, you need to take it:

  • strictly as prescribed by the doctor;
  • clearly in the specified quantity.

And refuse treatment with this drug if you are sensitive to any component of the drug. And also for pathologies of the digestive system: intestines, occurring with obstruction, gastric ulcer and duodenum during an exacerbation, reflux disease and damage to the bile ducts. Do not take the medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

The medication should not be given to children under 15 years of age; it is advisable to refuse treatment with this drug for older people. These tablets are not given to patients with hypovolemia and myasthenia gravis. Pregnancy and lactation are conditions in which taking this drug is strictly prohibited.

Caution should be exercised by persons with serious diseases of the excretory systems (liver, kidneys), blood pathologies, glaucoma and some other diseases.

Do not take the drug with alcohol! Alcohol enhances the toxic effect of paracetamol on the liver!

Trigan D - what are these pills for, how and how much do you take them? Let's get to know each other better. The drug is approved for treatment in adult patients and adolescents over 15 years of age. The tablets are made for oral administration.

To avoid the risk of drug addiction while treating Trigan D (addiction when addicted to this drug is akin to narcotic addiction and is more difficult to treat than when taking soft drugs), follow the rules for taking the drug and do not exceed the permitted daily dose.

Take 1 tablet 2 or 3 times a day. You can take no more than 2 tablets at a time, even if the pain is unbearable and the temperature approaches 40 o C. You can take no more than 4 tablets per day.

The drug is taken in only two cases. So what can Trigan D help with? For pain subject to the action of non-narcotic analgesics. If it is caused by muscle spasm or inflammatory processes.

What else can Trigan D be used for? Like any combined analgesic-antipyretic, it is prescribed to reduce body temperature.

What do patients usually use Trigan D tablets for? Most often this is:

  • nerve and muscle pain;
  • vascular spasm or spasm of organs whose walls consist of smooth muscles;
  • acute toothache;
  • menstruation occurring with severe pain, malaise, weakness;
  • headaches;
  • colic (intestinal, renal or hepatic);
  • high temperature due to infection and inflammation.

Without a medical prescription, taking the drug Trigan D, the instructions for use allow:

  1. At high temperatures from 1 to 3 days.
  2. For pain syndrome, from 1 to 5 days and no more.

If the doctor allows you to extend your appointment, you need to monitor your blood levels and liver enzymes. Taking the drug long time or in high doses threatens the patient with liver failure.

Trigan D - official instructions for use

Cost of the drug

For combined drugs, the price of Trigan D is not the highest. And it depends on the number of tablets you buy. For example, 2 blisters will cost from 65 to 117 rubles, and 10 blisters will cost from 269 rubles.

As you can see, for Trigan D the price depends “not only on the quantity in the package, but also on the pharmacy where you purchase the medicine.

Drugs with similar effects

Having information about the drug, that is, knowing Trigan D what kind of medicine it is, it is not difficult to find analogues. But it is better to leave the choice of an analogue to the doctor. Because a specialist will not necessarily offer you a completely identical substitute for the described drug from another manufacturer.

The doctor can choose a mono-drug suitable for a particular patient, for example, for intestinal spasms, Duspatalin or Mebeverine is recommended. For vascular spasms, the doctor may recommend either Drotaverine. If the bladder is damaged, Cystenal should be preferred.

Dicetel is considered to be similar in action to the described medicine, however, it has a completely different active ingredient. A complete analogue of the drug - Dolospa tabs.

Reviews at a Glance

On Trigan D, the instructions for use, reviews from patients and doctors give the same characteristics and recommendations: the drug is effective, but you should not get carried away with it. Side effects may not please you. Before using the medicine, consult your doctor and carefully read the instructions.

Tablets - 1 tablet:

  • active ingredients: paracetamol - 500 mg; dicycloverine hydrochloride - 20 mg;
  • excipients: sodium starch glycolate; maize starch; MCC; povidone; colloidal silicon dioxide (Aerosil); magnesium stearate.

Pills. 10 pcs. in PVC/aluminum blister or aluminum strip. 1, 2 bl. or 10 strips packed in a cardboard pack.

Description of the dosage form

White, round, flat, smooth tablets with beveled edges and a score on one side.

Pharmacokinetics

The drug is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. Cmax in blood plasma is reached within 60–90 minutes. Vd is 3.65 l/kg. Paracetamol is metabolized in the liver to form several metabolites, one of which - N-acetyl-benzoquinoneimine - under certain conditions (overdose of the drug, lack of glutathione in the liver) can have a damaging effect on the liver and kidneys. About 80% of the drug is excreted in the urine and in small quantities in feces.

Pharmacodynamics

Paracetamol, which is part of the drug, has an analgesic, antipyretic and slight anti-inflammatory effect. The mechanism of action is associated with moderate inhibition of COX-1 and, to a lesser extent, COX-2 in peripheral tissues and the central nervous system, resulting in inhibition of the biosynthesis of PGs - modulators of pain sensitivity, thermoregulation and inflammation.

The second component is dicycloverine hydrochloride, a tertiary amine that has a relatively weak, non-selective m-anticholinergic and direct myotropic antispasmodic effect on the smooth muscles of internal organs. In therapeutic doses, it causes effective relaxation of smooth muscles, which is not accompanied by side effects, characteristic of atropine.

The combined action of the two components of Trigana-D ensures relaxation of the spasmodic smooth muscles of the internal organs and alleviation of pain.

Indications for use Trigan-d

  • spasm of smooth muscles of internal organs - intestinal, hepatic and renal colic, algodismenorrhea;
  • headache, dental, migraine pain, neuralgia, myalgia;
  • infectious and inflammatory diseases accompanied by fever.

Contraindications to the use of Trigan-d

  • hypersensitivity to paracetamol and dicycloverine;
  • obstructive diseases of the intestines, biliary and urinary tracts;
  • peptic ulcer stomach and duodenum(exacerbation phase), reflux esophagitis;
  • hypovolemic shock;
  • myasthenia gravis;
  • pregnancy;
  • lactation period;
  • children's age (up to 15 years).

With caution: severe impairment of liver or kidney function; genetic absence of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase; blood diseases; glaucoma; benign hyperbilirubinemia (including Gilbert's syndrome); viral hepatitis; alcoholic liver damage; alcoholism; old age.

Trigan-d Use during pregnancy and children

Contraindicated during pregnancy.

Nursing mothers should stop breastfeeding.

Contraindicated for children under 6 months.

Trigan-d Side effects

From the gastrointestinal tract: dry mouth, loss of taste, loss of appetite, epigastric pain, constipation, increased activity of liver enzymes, usually without the development of jaundice, hepatonecrosis (dose-dependent effect).

Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching, urticaria, Quincke's edema, exudative erythema multiforme (including Stevens-Johnson syndrome), toxic epidermal necrolysis (Lyell's syndrome).

From the side of the central nervous system (usually develops when taking high doses): drowsiness, dizziness, psychomotor agitation and disorientation.

From the endocrine system: hypoglycemia, up to hypoglycemic coma.

From the hematopoietic organs: anemia, methemoglobinemia (cyanosis, shortness of breath, heart pain), hemolytic anemia (especially in patients with gluco-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency).

From the genitourinary system: pyuria, urinary retention, interstitial nephritis, decreased potency, papillary necrosis.

From the organs of vision: mydriasis, blurred visual perception, paralysis of accommodation, increased IOP.

Drug interactions

The effect of dicycloverine is enhanced by amantadine, class 1 antiarrhythmic drugs, antipsychotics, benzodiazepines, MAO inhibitors, narcotic analgesics, nitrates and nitrites, sympathomimetic drugs, tricyclic antidepressants.

Dicycloverine increases the concentration of digoxin in the blood (due to slower gastric emptying).

Stimulators of microsomal oxidation in the liver (phenytoin, ethanol, barbiturates, rifampicin, phenylbutazone, tricyclic antidepressants) increase the production of hydroxylated active metabolites, which makes it possible to develop severe intoxications with small overdoses of paracetamol.

Adrenergic stimulants, as well as other drugs with anticholinergic effects, increase the risk of side effects.

Microsomal oxidation inhibitors (cimetidine) reduce the risk of hepatotoxicity.

Reduces the effectiveness of uricosuric drugs.

Paracetamol increases the effectiveness of indirect anticoagulants.

Trigan-d dosage

Orally for adults and children over 15 years old, 1 tablet. 2–3 times a day. The maximum single dose for adults is 2 tablets, the daily dose is 4 tablets.

The duration of use without consulting a doctor is no more than 5 days when prescribed as an analgesic and 3 days when prescribed as an antipyretic.

With prolonged use of the drug, monitoring of the peripheral blood picture and the functional state of the liver is necessary.

The daily dose should not be exceeded; its increase or longer treatment is possible only under the supervision of a doctor, because An overdose of the drug can cause liver failure.

Overdose

Symptoms: tachycardia, tachypnea, fever, agitation, convulsions, epigastric pain, loss of appetite, anemia, thrombocytopenia, hemolytic anemia, aplastic anemia, methemoglobinemia, pancytopenia, nephrotoxicity (papillary necrosis), hepatonecrosis.

Treatment: stop taking the drug, perform gastric lavage, prescribe adsorbents, agents that increase the formation of glutathione (acetylcysteine intravenously) and enhance conjugation reactions (oral methionine).

Precautions

With caution and under the supervision of a physician, the drug should be used in patients with impaired liver or kidney function simultaneously with other anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs, as well as with anticoagulants and drugs that affect the central nervous system.

If you are taking metoclopramide, domperidone or cholestyramine, you should also consult your doctor.

Paracetamol distorts laboratory test results when quantifying uric acid and glucose levels in plasma.

To avoid toxic liver damage, paracetamol should not be combined with alcoholic drinks, and also taken by persons prone to chronic alcohol consumption. The risk of developing liver damage increases in patients with alcoholic hepatosis.

During long-term treatment, monitoring of the peripheral blood picture and the functional state of the liver is necessary.

Impact on the ability to drive vehicles and engage in potentially hazardous activities. When using the drug, you should refrain from potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions (including driving, etc.).

I get headaches often. This is also related to permanent job at the computer, and with VSD, and with sensitivity to weather. Therefore, the antispasmodics in my medicine cabinet are not just guests, but permanent residents, without which I cannot live normally. Usually I choose Nurofen, it does not cause negative reactions, but this time something went wrong. Apparently, in the fall I’m not the only one who suffers from headaches. They snatched up my magical Nurofen. And I took Trigan-D. On the recommendation of the pharmacist (thank you, damn it, the “kind” girl behind the counter...).

No, of course, I’m crazy in life, but I googled reviews about Trigan. Just in case, I called my doctor. Doctor Trigan approved and said: “Well, what can happen to you from one pill once a week?” And so it happened...

But let's start from the beginning.

Trigan-D. Price for 10 tablets is around 55 rubles .

Active ingredients per 1 tablet:

Dicycloverine hydrochloride 20 mg

Paracetamol 500 mg

The maximum single dosage is 2 tablets, daily dosage is 4 tablets. This is according to the instructions. But few people know that 5 tablets of Trigan is a sufficient dose to go to the forefathers. Intoxication with this drug is severe and can lead to glitches, coma and even death. Therefore, if ordinary medications are simply asked to be kept away from children, it is generally better to store Trigan in a safe with coded access. Just in case.

And Trigan can also be addictive, as is calmly written in the instructions.

My shelf life, as you can see in the photo, is very long. I bought 10 tablets “to try”; at our pharmacy you can ask them to “gut” the package and sell it “by the piece”. In general, Trigan-D is sold in packages of 20 or 100 tablets.

Many girls praise him as a lifeguard in critical days. But VERY many people also note that side effects from Trigan-D are not an exceptional case. They occur frequently. And now I will tell you about my experience.

I started taking Trigan about a month ago. At first I even liked the pills; they coped with the headache, although not permanently, but they allowed me to spend a fruitful working day from morning to evening. By evening the pain could return. not always, but it happened.

The first alarm bell came last week. I drank Trigan in the morning and decided to take a little more nap. I had to doze off in fits and starts, because I was tormented by extreme nausea (without vomiting) and dizziness. It felt like I was trying to sleep on a carousel. Or on the rides at Disneyland. I didn’t connect it with the pills then. Well, things have gotten really bad, it’s September, the weather changes every hour. Happens. Moreover, everything went quite quickly, in 2-3 hours.

Once again I took a headache pill and decided to take a ride to the hypermarket. Go for a walk, stock up on groceries and all that. Right on the way out, the thought flashed through my mind that somehow I felt strange, somehow I didn’t feel right. But I’m not used to paying attention to my body’s calls to stay at home. I’m one of those heroes who, with a temperature below forty, calmly goes about my business.

In general, I got there and immediately returned back. Dizziness, unpleasant cold and sticky sweat, a heart that knocks on my chest and asks to be released... And a dozen more wonderful sensations became my companions. In fact, I can’t remember when I felt this bad. I dreamed of only one thing - to somehow walk through this cottony air with my cottony legs, get home and not faint. When I get there, then I can fall.

What to do in such a situation? The most important thing is water. Drink, drink and drink. A little bit, but every 1-2 minutes. Breathe deeply. Try to sit down and not worry on your feet (if you stay on your feet, there is a great risk of quickly passing out; sitting still isn’t so sharp, the pressure tends to zero).

If necessary, you can call an ambulance, but be sure to warn the doctor that you drank that same unfortunate Trigan-D.

By the way, Trigan poisoning is not such a rare case, but teenagers are most often poisoned by it.

A headache By the way, I stopped being treated with Trigan. In total, out of 6 times, he helped me (insignificantly) only 4, and the remaining 2 times almost led to a sad outcome.

Therefore, I categorically do not recommend Trigan-D tablets. Now there are a lot of painkillers that will save your head from pain, but will not bring the body as a whole to the emergency room. Yes, not everyone experiences side effects, but I think that it is better not to take unnecessary risks when taking such a medicine, but before using it, consult your doctor 10 times and cancel at the first misunderstanding, otherwise each subsequent use of Trigan may become even more sad for you.
